ABOUT CHARISSA BURGOS-PATEL
Hi! I’m Charissa, and I’ve been helping students discover Rowan for over 10 years, but my Rowan journey actually started as a student myself. I came here not quite sure what I wanted to study (shoutout to the Exploratory Studies Program), and eventually found my path in Business Finance. After a short time in the finance world, I realized my heart was really in helping students, so I came back to Admissions, earned my master's degree in Education, and trained in Career Counseling.
Now, I get to do what I love most- chat with future Profs about their big questions, explore if Rowan is the right fit, and help them picture their future here.
When I’m not talking about all things Rowan, you’ll probably find me traveling (Antarctica is the only continent I haven’t visited yet!), experimenting in the kitchen (I just mastered Indian cuisine!), or volunteering with an NJ animal rescue, where I foster sweet senior cats.
